Russian Ministry of Justice requests Yaroshenko’s extradition from the US

The Russian Minister of Justice Alexander Konovalov informed that the Ministry has made a request to the United States of America about the extradition of Russian pilot Konstantin Yaroshenko.

"I can confirm that we made a request regarding Yaroshenko's extradition to Russia", Konovalov said on his interview to the TV channel Russia Today.

"The main position is that Russian citizens should serve their prison time in their country", the Minister noted.

"The questions about Bout and Yaroshenko are technical," Konovalov added. "It is necessary to use international convention mechanisms in order to return Russian citizens back to Russia".
