2013 will be the year of sequels and remakes of Bollywood




Starting with 'Race 2' and 'Murder 3', the year will have some of the highly anticipated sequels and remakes like "Chashme Baddoor 'and' Zanjeer '.

According to a report in TOI: The year is set to end big budgeted sequels like 'Krrish 3' and 'Dhoom 3', but others, like 'Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai 2' and 'Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster Returns' hit screens much ahead.

With a cast of stars together and promise the same emotion that 'Race' was offered in 2008, its sequel is set to release on January 25. Anil Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan will reprise their roles from the previous film, while Deepika Padukone, John Abraham, Jacqueline Fernandez and Ameesha Patel are new additions to the cast. Bipasha Basu Sonia reprise his role in a guest appearance.

Emraan Hashmi not part of the third installment of the series Murder. The film, starring Randeep Hooda and Aditi Rao Hydari, will be released on February 15.

'Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster Returns' hits theaters on March 8 with Irrfan Khan and Soha Ali Khan as new additions.

Two consequences will be launched in May - 'Shootout at Wadala' and 'Aashiqui 2'. The first is the sequel of 'Shootout at Lokhandwala' Underworld theater (2007), while 'Aashiqui 2' is a follow-up to the hit 1990 movie starring Rahul Roy and Anu Agarwal. The new film has Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor as the lead pair.

The Deol family returns with 'Yamla Pagla Deewana 2' in June, while the sequel of 'Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai' is set to hit the screens in August. The film has a star cast including Akshay Kumar again, Imran Khan and Sonakshi Sinha.

Horror film 'Ragini MMS' will have its second installment in October.

'Krrish 3' starring Hrithik Roshan, is set to release in November, while Aamir Khan will take over as the villain in 'Dhoom 3' Thiller action in December.
