Aishwarya Rai, Bollywood Actress with Slumdog Millionaire Dev Patel At London Bulgari Hotel Opening

She went to Cannes in a western style dresses, as she took on the red carpet at the premiere of Cosmo polis.

But tonight, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has opted for a traditional Indian attire as she attended the opening night of the Bulgari Hotel in London tonight.

The star of 38 years came out in a creation by Sabyasachi  Mukherjee, which consisted of a complex dupatta covering a black and gold dress with a black top half and a white embroidered flowing skirt.

The actress and former Miss World was beautiful with copper eye shadow and heavy liner highlighting its shiny peepers.

Aishwarya hit the headlines last month after being criticized by fans in his own country not to lose her baby weight quickly.

Bollywood star ignored his critics and instead took its own approach to being a new mom with a focus on her daughter instead.

Speaking at the Cannes Film Festival last month, she said: "(motherhood) is magnificent. You ask and I beam!

"It's beautiful ... There is joy inexplicable. The, happiness, it's wonderful. A smile from my daughter and that's it! It is good. It's great. "

Aishwarya was joined by a host of familiar faces at the event tonight, including British-Indian actor Dev Patel.

The pair posed up for a picture together during the evening and Dev was without his girlfriend Freida Pinto.
