This is the third consecutive instance in which the Bank won
a Gold award under the new criteria set for the awards since 2007, the Bank
said.
The HRM Awards assess, recognize and felicitate the best
Human Resource Management systems and processes among corporate entities of the
country. The involvement of a firm of the calibre of Aon Hewitt and a
distinguished panel of judges provides the evaluation process more
independence, transparency and acceptance.
“The Commercial Bank considers its employees as its greatest
asset, and believes in the development and progression of staff,” said Ravi
Dias, Managing Director and CEO of Commercial Bank.
“We provide staff with rewarding career opportunities and
performance-based rewards. The Bank also maintains a good dialogue with
employee organizations to ensure employee commitment and engagement to achieve
its strategic objectives.”
Commercial Bank is the largest private bank in Sri Lanka,
and the only Sri Lankan Bank to be listed two years consecutively in the
world’s Top 1,000 Banks.
It operates a network of 220 service points in Sri Lanka and
a network of 522 ATMs, the single largest ATM network operated by a bank in the
island. It also operates 17 service points in Bangladesh and is the 4th largest
foreign bank in that country.
