Philippines transgender crowned Miss International Queen in Thailand, hopes dad acceptance
A transsexual beauty 21 years old from the Philippines was
crowned Miss International Queen 2012 in Thailand's Pattaya beach resort, on
Friday - and expressed his desire to be finally accepted as a
"daughter" of his father.
Kevin Balot was crowned winner in the Miss International
Queen 2012 beauty pageant transgender / transsexual on Pattaya 2nd November.
Some 21 participants from 15 countries, all males born, competed in the event
of one week for the Miss International Queen 2012.
"Someday I want to go to Europe and represent my
country in the Philippines. So I'm very proud to present the beauty of gays
back to our country, the Philippines."
Seri Wongmontha, head of the judging panel, said: "We
really looked at her in the first round, because she is lovely, and her
personality is very nice, and the way he responded to the question she is very
intelligent.".
After the parade, Balot said:
"I am very proud to be the first time here, and I hope
my dad will accept. Because in the family I am the only boy, and my dad has
high expectations of me. I did. Stole International Queen Pageant, and I think
my dad is going to accept me as not only his son but also as his daughter.
"
21 participants from 15 countries dazzled in the Miss
International Queen 2012 held in Thailand's Pattaya beach resort on Friday,
competing for the crown in the annual contest for transvestites.
The final contestants were selected from over a hundred
entries from nearly 30 countries, and a competitor said the transvestites and
transsexuals competition offers the opportunity to show their potential.
"Someday I want to go to Europe and represent my
country in the Philippines. So I'm very proud to present the beauty of gays
back to our country, the Philippines," said Balot, who had participated in
three contests transvestites Philippines but was competing abroad for the first
time.
As the winner of Miss International Queen, Balot travel to
represent the transvestite show. She will also receive $ 10,000, a crown of a
famous jewelry store in Thailand and other gifts.
Filipino transvestites were four contestants in the final
stage, but only two reached the final ten.
