Things haven’t always gone smoothly between Mexican actress Salma Hayek, 45, and French billionaire Francois-Henri Pinault, 49, but the actress swears that’s only made them stronger. The pair (pictured at a Gucci event in Venice, Italy, on Sept. 2) met five years ago in Italy, had a daughter, Valentina Paloma, three years ago, got engaged, got unengaged and eventually reconciled before marrying in 2009. "When you get back together, you do it completely sure that this is what you want, and completely in appreciation of what you have," she told the New York Times T Magazine earlier this year. "So in our case, it was the best thing that could have happened to us, as much as it was painful."
